Going "OLD SCHOOL"
I found these in an envelope dated July, 27 1993....
When I was 21 yrs old....
This must have been only few months after I started going to church.
Here they go........
The Garden of The King.
How beautiful is THE GARDEN OF THE KING
Where death tries to ring out and only angels sing
Where The King turns mourning to joy
And restores the smile that death tried to destroy
Where the stench of death
Is turned into sweet smelling flowers
Where we feel His love and gentleness
And know it is forever ours
So raise your hands and joyfully sing
For there is no darkness or mourning
In The Garden Of The King!
Win It For The LORD
With patience and endurance
You can beat Satan's evil alurance
With Jesus and The Holy Spirit within
You can beat the temptation of sin
But if true freedom is what you want to find
You MUST TAKE AUTHORITY OVER THE THOUGHTS OF YOUR MIND!
Worthy
Who is worthy of praise?
Only The LORD is worthy of praise
Who is worthy of worship?
Only The LORD in all His divine LORDSHIP
Without Him, can we get to heaven?
No! Just as bread can't rise without leaven!
Can I earn salvation?
NO! It is a gift of joyous jubilation!
How then do I get this gift and make things right?
You must believe and receive our LORD JESUS CHRIST!
RETURN!
It is a little past noon
And I am writing, because His return is soon
I feel it in my heart, I see it in my dreams
THIS WORLD IS OLDER THAN IT SEEMS
To those who corrupt this world of ours
You better repent, for these are your last hours
And to those who are saved, In the Name of The LORD
Rejoice and go on delivering His WORD!
Teach those who were never taught
Put The LORD in their every thought
Teach the children to glorify His name
For if they don't learn we are to blame
Resit Satan's temptation, he is like a hook
Trying to snag you away from The LORDS BOOK
Satan will try and try, but never give in
Because you have the power to beat the temptation of sin
So obey The LORDS WORD, He never lied
Believe in HIM, and you wont be denied!
Free!!!!
The feeling of being free is better than any high
The feeling of being free, makes you want to touch the sky
The feeling of being free will give you life
The feeling of being free will remove sadness and strife
But the only way to be free, is to have faith
And do what God wants you to do!
Because you can't be free
When Satan has a hold on you!
God so Loved The WORLD
How strong is the Love of God?
It is stronger than a hug or a loving nod!
When Adan sinned was His love done?
Not by far, for He gave His only Son!
And Jesus showed this love, in that He was willing to die!
So He could cleanse every murder theft and lie!
An now He calls all to turn to Him
So that they may find forgiveness of sin
He also gave us authority in His Name!
So we could heal the blind,sick and lame!
So shout to Him and praise His Love
The REST in His COMFORT with the peace of a dove!
Psalms
Is there anything more beautiful than a psalm
When the Holy Spirit gives men inspired Psalms
In each psalm a man pours out his soul
Some of their hearts start out empty,but end up full
With praise and thanksgiving, The LORD fills them up
Some slowly,others abrupt!
Psalms is a book of powerful prayer
To show Gods mercy and care
So when your heart is heavy and spirit weak
He can lift you up,if its His WORD you will seek!
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
These give an account of the Life Of Christ!
From the birth in a manger, to His Power and Might
In these books Jesus tells how to live this life
He tells how to deal with sadness and strife
He warns us about boastfulness and pride
He tells us to proclaim His Name and not to hide
He tells us how He came to save the lost
And how He would overcome the world, at any cost
He bought back the authority, that Adam sold
And gave it back to man, young and old
He then was beaten and crucified
So that all men who turn to HIM MAY BE PURIFIED
But best of all He came back to life
He conquered death and over came horrible strife
And now all who are saved IN HIS NAME
CAN ENTER HEAVEN AND HAVE NO BLAME!!!!
